Acting from God’s authority. How can this idea be explained?
An example could be the slogan once often used: “The First Secretary of the PZPR acts on behalf of the Party and all Poles.”
Christians accept that Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary act in accordance with God’s will. This would be acting on behalf of God.
I wrote this prayer while observing a falconer, from whose arm a bird would take flight and to which it would return. In a similar way, one could imagine a figure that acts from God’s authority. In other words, it fulfills God’s will and receives, in its work serving the highest good, appropriate divine support.
Please now, God, open my heart and my soul.
Together with my soul, with our whole being, we thank God for having done everything He deemed appropriate with all our patterns, intentions, burdens, codings, arguments, resistances and blockages connected with our and others’ lives and actions carried out from God’s authority, including for destruction, for devastation, and accordingly for our and our neighbors’ highest good.
