A Prayer Different From All Others

Children — what do they say about God?

This article will be expanded as more quotations come in.

– From my own childhood I remember only a few scenes and reflections. One of them became very important in my life for many years. Namely, I heard from a priest in a temple that it is not worth being rich. For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter heaven. Since it seemed to me that it was worth getting to Heaven, the lack of money became a serious problem for me for many years.

– The second topic is connected not so much with God as with Jesus. As a little child I asked my family how it was that God or Jesus could always see me. They were not able to explain it to me. The solution appeared by itself. We had a dark passageway hallway leading from the kitchen to the room. I used to slip through there without turning on the light in the hallway. One day, after these reflections, I had a vision in the hallway of Jesus flying on a broomstick. This explained to me in a simple way the techniques he used to observe people. Does any adult reader today have better knowledge of how it is with Jesus appearing to people?

“Mom, let’s pray to God and ask Him what He thinks about it.”
“God, do You think that I hate You?”
To which the younger child says, “He won’t answer you anyway.”
