A Prayer Different From All Others

Cosmic Egg – description from 2024

I saw the Cosmic Egg at the end of June 2024. Suddenly a vision of stars and galaxies flashed before me, and then the entire cluster of them began to move away, contained inside something that resembled a narrow, egg-shaped yellowish melon. At both ends of this melon there was a strong golden light shining outward, illuminating the whole golden form.
The vision pushed this “melon” away from me, shrinking it until it became no larger than a star in the night sky.

The space around the melon seemed endless. It was brighter than the Earth’s night sky, but it was not dark blue-black like ours. I cannot name the color — something like almost-black brown, suffused with a faint golden light that permeates everything. That “light” may be anything; it had no visible source that I could perceive. Outside the Cosmic Egg I did not see any other concentration of light in that region.

A few days later, I remembered the descriptions of the Cosmic Egg. My insights differ from those found on the Internet, and from the quotes reproduced there. I found only one meaningful connection — in the writings of Hildegard of Bingen.

For me — and for Hildegard — the Cosmic Egg is the work of God. I was not shown, as she was, the structure of the shell separating the Egg from the rest of God’s universe. In my understanding, everything we know about the universe exists inside that Egg.
All galaxies and stars, all sentient beings, all Souls for whom God created this amusement park spanning all dimensions and all times.

No human being has ever gone farther than the Earth’s Moon. No one has physically reached the star closest to the Sun. And no one will ever physically travel beyond the boundaries of the Cosmic Egg. That is why only a few clairvoyant insights exist, belonging to those whom God allowed to see something from this region or another.

A few days later my sight was again drawn to the Egg. It lasted only a moment, and then something happened that reminded me of stepping on a puffball mushroom — releasing a cloud of spores. Inside the Egg (the size of that melon) something “burst,” sending a golden dust outward in all directions. It drifted away approximately the thickness of the melon’s shell.

I believe that not only in the Western world, but also in ancient Egypt, there were people with similar insights. The last meaningful information, in my view, comes from a thousand years ago, from Hildegard. I once bought Scivias, her book mentioned below. I was unable to get through the description of the Cosmic Egg. Apparently, it was not the right time for that reading.

Below is a shortened extract from information found online:

The earliest sources concerning Orphism are dated to the 6th century BCE, although the place and time of its origin were already subjects of debate in antiquity.

However, the basis for reconstructing the theory of the world’s creation comes from later Neoplatonic writers — Damascius, Proclus, and Olympiodorus. Using them requires keeping in mind that their interpretations reflect Orphic texts through the lens of Neoplatonic philosophy. Another difficulty is that Orphism was never fully codified…

Hildegard of Bingen.
Her Scivias is characterized by detailed descriptions of her visions, each following a similar narrative: it begins with the appearance of a brilliant light above a precisely described scene. After relating the course of the vision, Hildegard allegorically explains each part. Each vision is accompanied by an illustration.

The motif of the cosmic egg appears in the first book. It is represented in the third vision — the most individualized and extensive reception of this type of cosmogony. Hildegard emphasizes the egg-like shape of the object she saw. It consists of several concentric layers. The outermost shell is formed by bright flames carried by wind. Under it is a layer she calls the “dark fire,” so terrifying she could not look at it, full of storms, lightning, and explosions. The two outer layers are connected — the bright fire “feels within itself the violence of the thunder.”
Below the dark fire lies the ether with stars, and on its inner side move spherical clouds. Slightly above the center of the ether is a sphere of red fire suspended on three torches, illuminating the interior of the egg. Beneath it is a large sand-colored sphere supported by the surrounding elements, on which there is a mountain lit on one side and dark on the other — darkness unable to swallow the light, and light unable to dispel the darkness.

In the allegorical interpretation, Hildegard explains that the vision serves to understand the Divine Name. In the egg dwells everything invisible and eternal — the majesty and mystery of the Almighty God. Each layer corresponds to some knowledge about God. For example, the outer flame is compared to God who burns and purifies through flame, punishment, or consolation. The red sphere in the ether is so great that “it gives light to all creatures.”

Perhaps something has changed since Hildegard’s time. Beyond the fact that she saw the Egg standing upright, and I saw it lying horizontally. I was shown an energetic cross-section of the Cosmic Egg lying on its side. In the center was something like the shining Black Sun discussed in this film:

From my perspective, toward the left tip of the lying Egg there flowed numerous golden conduits or energies resembling lightning strikes.

As a side note… Clairvoyant friends have observed various games played by Souls using their “toys” constructed as a Cosmic Egg. Sometimes such an Egg, stuck inside the ovaries, can be the cause of serious illnesses.
