For the Divine Light – Prayer

For many years I practiced push-ups. From morning until evening, whenever I had the opportunity, I performed several hundred of them every day. Somehow I could not imagine life without push-ups. Once a thought came to me that I was exercising for better efficiency in hand-to-hand combat, in sword fighting. After all, a sword weighs something, and swinging it, parrying blows, and protecting oneself with a shield require physical strength. One never knows when a war might break out, when muscle strength will be needed in close combat. One should always and everywhere be ready for war.

Yes, yes—I know: the karma of Sparta, patterns of Adult Children of Alcoholics, and so on.

As a kind of test of associations, at the end I added several other topics.

Today I happily do push-ups for the better expression within myself of divine energies, of divine light.
