Guardian Angel, Spiritual Protector

I have a question related to the so-called Guardian Angel, or in other words a spiritual protector. Is asking an angel–protector for help a form of idolatry? I do not mean praying to it, but a simple request and possibly expressing thanks. Is this in any way harmful?
Personally, I have never encountered any guardian angel. Apparently, at some point I had some kind of “energetic oddball” as a spiritual protector (someone claimed to have seen it). However, belief in their miraculous powers and in their protection excludes divine protection and care. God has no competition; but if one asks Him, He can surely send someone. Yet praying to a messenger… or prayers to a guardian angel, I see exclusively as idolatry.
I have a winged soul with clearly angelic vibrations. This is confirmed by practically every clairvoyant person. Souls like mine incarnate on Earth in great numbers. Let us assume that, without my knowledge, my soul comes to you with some advice, for example, and you recognize it as a Guardian Angel and start reciting prayers to it.
And then what?
Moreover, any soul (spirit) can appear and tell any untruth on any subject. This is also where possessions come from.
And if I ask my physical friend for a favor and he fulfills it, and I thank him, this surely is not a form of idolatry. If I ask an angel, for example, to escort a soul or to help, and I thank it—without reciting prayers—how does that differ from a favor done by a physical friend?
I learned from Edgar Cayce that I absolutely take and accept only from God. I ask Him. From the Creator I expect everything that is good: fulfillment, money, etc. I even received a child from God, for which I am still grateful. A year ago, some clairvoyant wanted to send me energetic dragons, claiming that they wonderfully cleanse the energies of cities and people. I refused, because God did not give this. Similarly, I refuse everything that comes from astral worlds or from the souls of living people. If you accept “guardian angels,” then why not dragons next?
If you ask a friend for something, you see him every day, you know him, and if he deceives you, you part ways. If a foreign soul deceives you, you will not find out—you won’t, but another incarnation of your soul will, for example in 100 years, then in 220, and then several more times. Except that by then it will be too late for correction.
The problem lies in the credibility of other souls or astral beings. In many religions and sects it is assumed uncritically that incorporeal beings are worthy of worship and the highest trust, that they speak only the truth. Nothing of the sort exists, and experience shows that gaining power over as many “naive” people on Earth as possible is a common phenomenon and a goal of action. After all, monarchs, high priests, divine mothers worshipped as deities do not come from nowhere.

[12:51:41] Asia: XYZ lived quite long… Personally, I was never attracted to messages connected with automatic writing, and I also preferred to avoid channeling. But as we can see, there are exceptions…

Now the Soul of XYZ is realizing its payment as a mentally disabled person.
In his country, mediumship and ancestor worship are the basis of existence.
In the messages there are references to God, but always between the lines.
There is more about spirits, their kinds and levels, and their “wise” messages about hells and the lives of saints.
These are themes of reincarnation, OBE phenomena, suffering as purification—ascending to higher levels.
This is favoritism toward guardian angels and protective spirits.
