Property and Thing, or Aspects of Being a Slave – a Prayer

I was inspired to write this text by Part II of the film “Ted”, about a teddy bear whom a U.S. court recognized as property. The fact that the bear was a drug addict, had all the patterns of an adult child of an alcoholic, and was articulate did not matter at all. In the U.S., property included—and in other lands still includes—various kinds of slaves. And still today, property—livestock—can be how, for example, prostitutes are labeled, sometimes someone’s wife and children. In the article “Atlantean ‘Things,’ or Human–Animal Hybrids” Link, I quote a conversation about so-called Atlantean Things, discussed extensively by Edgar Cayce.

Please open now, O God Giver of Life, my heart and my soul.

Together with my Soul, with our entire being, existence, and creation, we thank God, the Giver of Life, for having done everything He deemed appropriate in relation to the creation, display, promotion, and experience—by us and by others—of ideas and burdens connected with treating us or anyone as property, possessions, inventory; as belonging objects or things, and more.

Together with my Soul, with our entire being, existence, and creation, we thank God, the Giver of Life, for having done everything He deemed appropriate in relation to the creation, display, promotion, and experience—by us and by others—of ideas and burdens connected with treating us or anyone as property, possessions, inventory; as belonging objects or things, and more, which maintain scarcity, poverty, and financial limitations in our lives.

Together with my Soul, with our entire being, existence, and creation, we thank God, the Giver of Life, for having done everything He deemed appropriate in relation to the creation, display, promotion, and experience—by us and by others—of ideas and burdens connected with treating us or anyone as property, possessions, inventory; as belonging objects or things, and more, produced by my ego and by the ego of my Soul—of our entire being.
