Judging Others and Being Judged
I wrote these intentions after becoming familiar with an article about judging others based on smell. Link. The author draws from the book “The Messiah’s Days”, published by “Chabad of the Chabad Association Centre” by Menachem Brod.
Motto
Isaiah 11:3:
“He shall not judge by what His eyes see, nor decide by what His ears hear.”
Another translation:
“He shall not judge by appearances, nor decide according to hearsay.”
A literal (somewhat awkward, internet-based) Hebrew translation quoted in the article, however, emphasizes smell:
“And he shall smell in the fear of the Lord, and he shall not judge by what his eyes see, nor decide by what his ears hear.”
The Gemara interprets the word “smell,” attributing to the sense of smell an ability related to justice — “smell and judge”.
As Rashi explains:
“Sense a person and judge, and know who is indebted.”
It is also said in Zohar 3:
“He shall judge based upon scent, without need for witnesses or warning.”
Technical matters concerning the concept and sentence construction while working with intentions.

The word (–not) added while working with intentions beside a given word means that it is worthwhile to mention its opposite, or even independently find and speak aloud synonyms that come to mind together with their opposites.
For example:
— being poor, sick
It is also good to say the opposite:
— being poor, sick, —not being poor, sick
This allows a pattern to be approached as broadly as possible in different aspects, including its opposite.
It is also worth knowing that Souls often think or claim they do not possess opposite patterns — for example claiming they are not idol worshippers in a given situation.
Another example:
A woman’s Soul denies once having been a bad mother. Adding negation —
not being a bad mother —
may help her understand the state she is in.
Being a bad mother — not being a bad mother —
“No way, never in my life! Those are not my patterns. What I do is my private matter.”
[—A Soul often says or thinks this about itself.]
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those who are subject to judges and judgments issued by those who do and appropriately do not possess the abilities and rights to deliver fair verdicts and evaluations, relying upon the sense of smell, intuition, feeling, sensing, even without witnesses and without warning, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those who judge themselves and others, who are judges possessing and appropriately lacking abilities and rights to issue fair judgments and evaluations based upon smell, sensing, feeling, intuition, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those subject to judges and judgments from people who possess and appropriately do not possess the ability to issue fair verdicts based upon sensing hidden truth, connected with wisdom and deep understanding, including understanding God’s will regarding a specific judged matter, person, or conduct, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those who judge themselves and others while possessing and appropriately lacking abilities to issue fair judgments through sensing hidden truth connected with wisdom and understanding, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those subject to judges who possess and appropriately do not possess the gift and grace of seeing through fog and ignorance, touching the roots of problems so as to creatively inspire a person, their Soul, and all involved Souls and beings toward understanding causes and consequences of events, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those who judge themselves and others through understanding only fragments of an entire matter, whose judgments therefore remain superficial and biased, not giving complete certainty to anyone — even the judge — that the judgment is fair and honest, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those subject to judges capable or incapable of sensing what truly passed through a person committing a given act, despite pressures they had to endure, understanding what happened within their Soul, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those who judge themselves and others while fully knowing and understanding the essence and background of problems, seeing all details clearly, preventing false interpretations and false accusations, bringing understanding of causes and reasons behind actions, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those judged by people possessing and appropriately lacking gifts of understanding allowing a judge innocently and safely to stand in the place of those being judged, and experiencing all consequences of this.
Our own and, through us, others’ being among those judged by people possessing and appropriately lacking perfect abilities to recognize causes and intentions behind wrongdoing, together with understanding how God may teach a person to observe law and goodness so they no longer desire wrongdoing, and experiencing all consequences of this.
