The Royal Castle from “Warsaw in Brown”
While we were recording the film “Warsaw in Brown,” a small thread appeared there that requires further explanation. Standing on the street with the camera, we noticed that several figures on the roof of the Royal Castle were ostentatiously relieving themselves on the roof tiles. These were the Souls of well-known Polish rulers and kings, demonstrating their involvement in the affairs of the country, nation, and state.
Several kings had absolutely no desire to work for the public good and treated the Polish State, public finances, and the lives of their subjects with contempt. An example is Jagiełło’s son, the king of Polish gays, known as Władysław of Varna. During battle, he rode with his personal guard straight into the dense ranks of the Turkish army. The guards died, while he later allegedly amused himself in gay harems across Asia and Europe.
It is October 15, 2024. Twelve months have passed since the change of power in Poland, and every few days we learn how large a financial “cake,” how many billions of złoty from taxpayers’ money, the parties “PiS” and the so-called “Sovereign Poland” allegedly carved out for themselves. The media report that almost everyone legally took something from public money — whether for themselves or for colleagues — money earned by society. Time will show where the current president, Andrzej Duda, fits into all of this.
