Dream About God – A Psychological Test

Dream About God – A Psychological Test

In the article “Dreams About God” I described several thematic dreams experienced by different people.Link. Before reading that article, dear reader, try to complete the test below. Its purpose is to bring to light the programs and beliefs that have led to your current understanding of God. It may help reveal the essence of your convictions.

This is a typical psychological exercise. Write down the FIRST answer that comes to mind after reading each question. It is best to do this in a quiet moment, allowing yourself enough time to answer honestly and thoughtfully.

  • A dream about the true, real God is for other people…
  • In my own dream, I would ______ God / do ______ to God…

Two days ago I had a dream that I was riding a bicycle through unfamiliar areas. I was traveling along some wide roads, riding alone, but then it turned out that someone else was riding with me a few meters ahead. It was a man, but I could not see his face because he never turned around. I felt reassured because I thought I would eventually reach civilization, as I had absolutely no idea where I was. I followed that figure.

What is interesting is that, in the test from the article “Dream About God,” I answered one of the questions by saying that in my dream God rides a bicycle.

I often dream about returning home, or heading somewhere, following a path.

This time I dreamed that I was far from home, as if on a trip, and the day of returning was approaching. Everyone was talking about it, packing, gathering their things, and planning how to get back.

It turned out that I had a car and could take some people with me, but I had a problem. I remembered that on the way back there was always one particular place—a road or passage—through which I could never find my way correctly. It was like a wrongly marked route, and I would get lost there. In the dream I remembered that I had already failed to navigate that place before, and because of that I had not managed to get home.

I wondered what to do, how to return on my own while also taking my companions with me. I thought:

“I need to study the maps once again and memorize that place, because it is so hidden and unobvious.”

And I began to fear what would happen if I once again fell for that misleading route as I had before.

When I woke up, I remembered that I had already had several dreams about returning home and about that strange place where I could never figure out which path to take. That same place had caused me trouble in earlier dreams as well.

So I have had multiple dreams about THAT mysterious place.

Perhaps it is some kind of critical point that affects the possibility of returning to God, a point that I have not yet been able to overcome.
