A Prayer Different From All Others

Renewing Contact with God

Renewing contact with God combined with enlightening oneself with divine light is promoted in many religions. Sometimes the ideas promoting this are completely contradictory to one another and to similar concepts. It seems that this may be not merely an important matter, but the most important one. The subject concerns the earthly personality and the Soul itself. The quality of the relationship with God determines the quality of the changes that we humans expect, which will occur in the whole being, and which the Soul itself will ultimately experience. Since we as earthly avatars constitute a whole together with the Soul and the Soul’s previous earthly avatars, thereby forming one being, then looking from another perspective, the quality of our relationship with God may also be an indicator of the quality of the relationship between God and the Soul. As it turns out in practice, renewing contact with God is a necessary condition for the occurrence of all positive changes; it is a key and overarching matter. If the Soul still manifests grievances, delusions, resentments, or has a false image of God, if it fears Him because it is afraid of divine punishment, or if it believes that God has little to offer it, or if it is forbidden from contacting Him, then it is understandable that it will have no drive toward co-creating and cooperating with Him, toward receiving His graces, using His support and guidance. It may reject them, hold them back, or withdraw from them, which in effect also manifests in the earthly avatar as a lack of positive changes in matter. Expressing the will for change by the earthly personality is important; however, the same will must also be expressed by its immortal Soul. This is the key to success. The will for change in the Soul usually appears when the Soul sees and understands the consequences of its own choices and the results it had to bear through this or another decision, deed, or action. Or through the persistent work of the personality, whose Soul may remain in trances and hypnotic unconsciousness. Understanding is therefore an essential factor in transforming this inertia, helplessness, and powerlessness into the will for positive change to arise. Understanding appears through prayer, intentions that have been surrendered, and the divine responses resulting from them. It is worthwhile to ask God simultaneously to show the effects and consequences that occurred through following a given intention, so that we, the whole being, and the Soul may easily understand them and implement positive changes regarding a given pattern of thinking and acting. It is also worthwhile to ask God for something better and more valuable in return, especially if we feel resistance.

Returning to the matter of renewing contact with God, it is so important because even if the Soul already sees the consequences and wants change, it may still remain trapped in implanted beliefs that God will punish it, that He will not forgive it, that He will ridicule it, take away what it considers valuable without giving anything better in return. Or the Soul may have many other false beliefs, encoded through thousands of incarnations, which may also cause the Soul and its avatars to cling stubbornly to idolatry, or continue to place relationships with deities above a relationship with God.

An important matter therefore is breaking through this resistance that the Soul has toward God, and then successively deepening this relationship in further stages of the work. Even though it may seem to us earthly personalities that we are no longer at odds with God, the matter may be different for the immortal Soul and previous earthly avatars. If we do not have certainty, if we are not clairvoyant, then we may simply not know this. The subject of working through intentions from the sections “God,” “Idolatry,” and related themes appears to be an obvious matter. Very important, however, are personal conversations with God, inviting God in a simple everyday way into one’s own life. One may ask God about the most basic matters, seek guidance, ask what God thinks about this or that choice. Ask about matters connected with family, work, sex, health, even shopping and all other issues. Another important matter is thanking God. Also for even the smallest things, or those seemingly obvious — for children, family, for something succeeding, for a meal lovingly prepared for us by loved ones, and for other positive aspects of our life. Such behaviors from us as the present earthly avatars of our Souls are also important because they cultivate a good habit in the Soul itself and in the whole being. They orient us toward God and at the same time compel a change of attitudes, showing that in every aspect of our lives God may and should be present.

It is also worthwhile to observe one’s own beliefs and thoughts that arise concerning God, and then surrender them … to God in intentions. It is worthwhile to consider and reflect on who God truly is for us, how we treat Him, and what His role is in our life. Whether He is merely a source that we have found for fulfilling our earthly needs and ensuring us a luxurious life and family. It is good to consider and examine how it is with humility, respect, and gratitude toward God and before God. Do we feel them? It is worthwhile to read carefully and with understanding all articles concerning God published on various forums, to reflect on them and understand them, because sometimes something appears obvious, yet certain expressions and the way sentences are constructed still move us. And if something touches an inner string, then it signals that it carries some understanding within it. Additionally, it is recommended to return even to articles and prayers already read in the past, because the quality of understanding progresses together with the quantity of worked-through intentions and the effects resulting from them that come from God each day.
