Truth-Tellers from the Bene Gesserit

“Bene Gesserit is a fictional organization from the universe of Frank Herbert’s Dune. They are commonly called witches, and their actions influence politics, religion, and social development. They influence the course of events by using their knowledge and abilities to pursue their own goals.”

In June 2025, one of them reached me. She impersonated another person known to me. She deceived that person, as shown in the series, the books, and the films. She obtained that person’s consent to use her image.

What she brought was relatively positive. However, impersonating someone else is deception, characteristic of what is shown in the Dune series, released in 2025 on the Max/HBO channel, where lying, murder, and betrayal are distinguishing features of the Bene Gesserit.

I know other incarnations of this Soul that lie as soon as they open their mouths.
